We caught up with Landry Bender, who’s starring as Rocki in season 3 of Netflix’s Fuller House, to get the inside scoop on what’s to come! The actress spilled on her new role, behind-the-scenes moments, and more! Read our exclusive Q&A below and don’t forget to follow Landry on Twitter & Instagram!
Let’s talk about season 3 of Fuller House! What can you tell us about your new role as Rocki?
Rocki is super rebellious, edgy, and defiant; completely contrasting the Fuller family and everything they stand for.
Being a fan of the original show, what was it like walking onto that set and working with the original cast? Who was always your favorite character?
It was incredible! I didn’t know what to expect at first, but the cast and crew are amazing. I always loved both Stephanie and Michelle. I think being so young when I started watching it, they were the characters I most related to.
How would you describe the vibe on set?
It’s very rare on sets that there is no drama, but luckily there’s absolutely none on the Fuller House set. We are all like family to each other and it was great to be brought in and feel so welcomed.
Without giving away anything major, what can fans be expecting from the upcoming episodes?
There’s so much that happens! Lots of musical numbers, romance, and overall funny moments.
Are there any memorable/funny set moments from the season that you can share with us?
I had never worked in front of a live audience before this show! And especially with the Full House fan base it’s incredible to see their reactions to the show at the end of each week, so I think that’s been my favorite.
What’s something you’re hoping to cross off your bucket list this year?
I was going to say something really inspirational, but then I just remembered that I have tickets to the ice cream museum in October! I’ve been wanting to go for a while so I’m embarrassingly excited for that.
How important is to you to use your social platforms for good and to connect with your fans?
It’s so important! It’s a crazy time in our world right now but I love my generation and the ways we’re connecting with each other on social media.
Any special message for your fans?
Our generation is incredible and we have the power to do so many things. Anything of interest to you in this world, don’t be afraid to go for it.
Fuller House returns to Netflix with a brand new season on 9/22!
