Let’s talk about “Enraptured” – how did the song come about for you? What’s the story behind it?
Enraptured was about losing a best friend. A lot of people think it’s about a boy, but that’s not the case. My best friend of nine years moved about an hour away from me and I didn’t know what to do. She was a part of my family, she was my sister. She got a new best friend, who seemed to replace me. Whenever I would ask to hang out she would always say she was busy. Then, she would post pictures at the mall with this new girl. I became obsessed with everything she was doing. That’s where enraptured all started.

What’s the reaction been like from fans?
Fan’s reactions have been super positive and they seem to love “Enraptured.” It was recently nominated – and won – a Hollywood Music in Media Award (HMMA’s.)

What inspired the concept for the music video?
The theme for the music video was related to the movie “Mad Max”. It is about a friend’s betrayal and showing how the storyline ties in with the video. It was my first video and I wanted to hit everyone with a bang. Almost like saying “Hi, I’m here!”

Musically, what’s next? What should fans be expecting from the rest of the year?
I will be going back-and-forth a lot the next couple months to New York City, as I’ve become a finalist for the Miss Teen USA Pageants. I will also be having a lot of interviews on radio, and maybe even some live performances. They can expect to see a lot of that on across my social media platforms.

Growing up, which artists do you remember loving? Do they still influence your sound today?
I’ve always had special love for Selena Gomez. I love the tone and the style of her music. That is what I aspire my music to one day sound like.

What’s the songwriting process usually like for you?
I work with my wonderful singing coach Estani Frizzel in the studio. It takes a couple days to record the songs. It is such a wonderful process to watch happen. I’m so humbled to be able to have such amazing experiences at such a young age.

Is there a song that you absolutely love that you wish you wrote?
I wish I wrote “Havana” by Camila Cabello. I love the upbeat track in the melody and the song is super catchy.

When it comes to stage presence, which artists are you inspired by?
I’m inspired by Selena Gomez when it comes to stage. She so interactive with her fans while performing.

What do you hope fans take away from you and your music?
I hope fans take away from my music that they aren’t alone. There is always someone going through the same, if not similar, circumstances that they are. They always have someone to talk to. And, I hope that my fans can relate to my music. I’m hoping it can help them by inspiring them to do great things.

What’s the best way for fans to get your attention on social media?
Usually DM’ing me works pretty well. I live stream a lot. So, if you join my lives and comment, I always talk and reply to the comments.

How important is to you to use your platform for good?
It is very important to me that I use my platforms for good. I want parents to allow their children to look up to me. I want them to be able to be inspired by me. To only do good. I want to be that positive influence that every child needs.

What’s been the highlight of your year so far?
Being nominated for the HMMA’s was probably the highlight of my year. To be nominated for my first single is incredibly huge and is so much bigger than I could ever imagine. I’m so thankful for everyone at the HMMA‘s for considering my song as Best Music Video.

What’s something you’re still hoping to cross off your list this year?
I’m hoping to win the HMMA Award. I’m also hoping to become Miss Teen New York and go on to represent my state in the Miss Teen USA Pageant.

Which artist(s) have you had on repeat lately?
Taylor Swift’s new album, “Reputation”, has been on my repeat lately. I love her new style of music. But, I will always love the old Taylor.

How would you describe your personal style? Fave stores to shop at?
I’m a very girly girl. I love to stay up with the trends and I could never deny a good pair of heels. But, I can also feel perfectly happy in sweatpants and a sweatshirt. I’ve learned to accept myself and my choice of style in what I choose to wear. I like to be comfortable but classy.

Any special message for your fans?
Believe in yourself. Never let anyone crush your dreams. “Practice makes progress”, and then that can turn those dreams into reality.
